Why Book Through OZU ?

Booking directly with a feedback-rated transporter on OZU gives you the peace of mind you need to know your shipment is in good hands. When you ship through OZU, you enjoy exclusive benefits like:

Quotes that come to you - Getting shipping quotes by phone takes tremendous time and effort, but with OZU, we bring together thousands of providers so you can shop the best rates all in one place online. Carriers compete for your business, giving you transparent insight into their rates. An open marketplace means everyone has transparent insight into what rates are being offered, ensuring you get the best rates possible on your shipment.

OZU Payments - An easy, safe way to pay your carrier without sharing bank account or card details. It also makes cancellations and refunds easy. As the shipping customer, you’ve got full control over payment, and your funds are only released to the transporter once you’ve confirmed safe delivery of your item.

Expert Support- You’ll be backed by the hands-on help of our experienced Member Support staff who are ready to assist before, during and after your shipment. We’re here to help, no matter what the issue. We’ve dealt with issues on both the shipping customer’s side and the transporter’s side, meaning we’re experts in finding resolutions that make everyone happy. Our dedicated Member Support and Trust & Safety teams are here to make every OZU experience safe and successful. Just in case anything does go wrong, you’ve got the backup of our network of thousands of transporters who are available to step up to help in case of truck breakdowns or scheduling conflicts.

No obligation. Shop rates on OZU with no commitment. See the profiles of transporters you’re considering and review feedback from past customers, all with nothing to lose. Plus, there’s no charge for cancelling a listing. Don’t forget, time is on your side. You can list ahead of time, take your time shopping around, and choose the right transporter based on the factors that matter to you. If you find your listing isn’t getting the interest you’d like, we’re here to help you optimize it to bring in as many competitive quotes as possible.

Stress-Free Shipping – Most importantly, booking your transport through OZU means you get the smoothest possible experience. You’ll skip the typical obstacles of shipping larger-than-parcel items, and get straight to the good stuff: an affordable, safe, smooth delivery.

We work very hard to keep the OZU marketplace safe. Here are some tips to help you “ship with confidence.”

Verify credentials. Do this with any service provider you choose. Request insurance information, copies of driver's licenses, and any legal registrations before you release your shipment to a service provider.

Be safe with off-site payments. If paying via the Deposit Method, you’ll want to use a major credit card or a third party payment system like PayPal to pay your service provider. This will provide you with additional safeguards and recourse in the event of a dispute or suspected fraudulent activity. Check with your credit card company for more information.

OZU doesn’t recommend paying off-site in full before delivery. If a provider requests full payment before pickup, please contact Member Support.

Do not use Western Union or Moneygram. Requesting payment from instant cash transfer services such as these are prohibited on OZU. When using these services, you can’t confirm who the receiving party is, and can’t get the funds back once sent. Contact Member Support immediately if your provider requests a prohibited payment method. Execute a written contract. After the shipment is booked, you and your provider should execute a written contract outlining the details of the agreement. A contract is key in the off chance a dispute occurs.

Fill out your bill of lading. We provide a standard bill of lading (BOL) to be used on any shipment. Your service provider may also have his or her own BOL you’ll need to fill out. A BOL is basically a receipt that documents the state of a shipment at pickup and delivery so that the provider can be held accountable for (and only for) damages occurring in transit.

Trust your instincts. If you feel something is too good to be true, you're probably having that feeling for a reason. Don't send any funds or release anything to a provider until those inconsistencies have been addressed and resolved.

OZU Cargo Insurance

DERBI doesn’t verify service provider insurance credentials. Therefore, we offer shipping customers a cargo insurance policy through our third party partners. Unlike motor truck cargo or carrier's liability insurance, our cargo insurance provides coverage for the direct physical loss or damage to the cargo. This means a faster payout directly to you, eliminating the hassle of dealing directly with the service provider’s insurance company. Cargo insurance is available for purchase at checkout on most shipments being shipped by UAE based customer.

Shipments booked with any of the LTL Instant Rate Carriers will be subject to the carrier's Limitation of Liability in the case of damage or loss. If you determine that your shipment requires additional coverage, we offer LTL Cargo Insurance for purchase during checkout at an affordable rate.

How much does OZU Insurance cost? Your premium depends on the insurance value you input upon booking. The price will be displayed at that time.

What’s NOT covered? Concealed damages/losses not noted on the signed delivery receipt Geographical limits: shipments to/from Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Somalia, Sudan and truck/rail shipments to/from/within Mexico other than as a connecting conveyance are excluded entirely; coverage for shipments to Haiti, Nigeria, Pakistan, and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) ceases upon discharge from the ocean vessel or aircraft

HOW TO CHOOSE A TRANSPORTER

So you've posted your delivery, gotten some quotes, and now you have options! Great! Now what?

As a feedback-based marketplace, OZU provides access to some great insights into the quality of a service provider. Here's how to put those insights to use to ensure you're choosing someone who will met your expectations.

Read the Feedback

On the transporter's profile, you can see feedback from their previous customers. All of that feedback is from customers that have previously booked on OZU with that transporter, so you can trust it's from a real transaction.

Check to see the ratings their previous customers left. Read the comments, and note the kinds of deliveries that transporter has experience hauling.

Check the Cancellations

Next, read the cancellation comments and see how often that transporter has had to cancel. Keep in mind that some cancellations may be from the customer's side. However, if you have a time sensitive delivery, you may want to consider a transporter with fewer cancellations.

Communicate

A transporter that takes the time to communicate with you before booking will probably do the same once you're working together. If you have questions or concerns you want addressed before booking, ask on your listing or quote Q&A!

Consider the Price

Obviously, this matters. You're here to find a deal! But while the lowest price may be tempting, it may not always be the best choice. Are you willing to pay a bit more for a better timeline or a more experienced transporter? Make sure to consider price a part of the equation, but not the only factor.
