The role of the Emirates Medical Association approved by ministerial decree, authorizes the establishment of scientific societies to contribute their part in improving the standard of health services in United Arab Emirates.

Specifically Societies are responsible for:

Improving the scientific output and performance of the member Provide an opportunity for health care professionals to contribute to the movement of scientific congress. Raise the level of performance in health specialties. Contribute to improving the criteria and standards of practice within the profession and advance levels of health awareness among public. EMA Elected societies have reached to 46 societies and will increase in near future.

Each society has an elected member of 5 active members who have volunteered and committed their time to supporting the development and enhancement of work practices of their fellow colleagues and are tirelessly focused on developing the expert views on the current and most significant issues related to medical ethics and the betterment of scientific knowledge through continued medical education.
