BlueTree Technologies’ mission is the global production of great-tasting, reduced sugar, naturally healthy beverages.

Natural beverages, such as 100% natural squeezed orange juice, enjoy a reputation of being healthy. They are, however, high in sugar, which can cause diabetes, contributes to obesity, is associated with cancer, and in some places is subject to warning labels and sugar taxes.

BlueTree has developed a physical process to selectively remove up to 50% of the sugar which can be used with any natural liquid with high sugar content. The process does not add any chemicals or other substances, leaving the juice a 100% natural product. It also selectively removes sucrose, leaving most of the fructose and glucose, and helping to retain the flavor.

In comparison taste tests, 45% of people actually preferred the taste of reduced sugar orange juice to the full sugar product.

The wide acceptance of skim milk shows there is substantial consumer demand for healthier versions of natural products. Over 16.18 billion liters of not-from-concentrate orange juice are produced every year.
